I love a good fall activity.
But I am not interested in spending three hours preparing an activity that my kids will enjoy for approximately seven minutes.
So I’ve collected a list of fall activities that are actually realistic.
Go on a Leaf Hunt
Give the kids a bag and let them collect interesting leaves.
You can sort them by:
● Color
● Size
● Shape
Or just bring them home and put them in a pile.
Honestly, they’ll probably have fun either way.
Have a Fall Movie Night
Pick a movie.
Make popcorn.
Add blankets.
Done.
You don’t need a themed snack board.
Unless you want one.
Make a Fall Playlist
Let everyone pick a few songs.
Play it while you’re cooking or cleaning.
Instant atmosphere.
Bake Something Easy
You don’t need to make a twelve-layer pumpkin masterpiece.
Try:
● Muffins
● Cookies
● Apple crisp
● Boxed cake with fall decorations
Kids mostly care that they get to help.
Go for a Neighborhood Walk
Look at decorations.
Collect leaves.
Notice pumpkins.
Enjoy the cooler weather.
It’s free, which automatically makes it one of my favorite activities.
Make a Fall Bucket List
Let everyone choose a few things they’d like to do.
Some can be big.
Some can be tiny.
The important thing is that the list reflects your actual family.
Have a Pajama Day
No explanation needed.
Stay in pajamas.
Watch movies.
Eat snacks.
Read books.
Sometimes the best memories are the ones that require almost no preparation.
