I think there’s a very specific kind of exhaustion that comes with parenting young kids.
It’s not just the big things. It’s the tiny, constant things.
The snack requests. The missing shoes. The toddler who suddenly hates the cup they loved yesterday. The laundry pile that somehow grows while you’re actively doing laundry. The moments where you think, “There has to be an easier way to do this.”
I’m not someone who has a perfectly organized home, a color-coded schedule, or a magical routine that makes every day run smoothly. Most days, I’m just trying my best to make life a little easier for myself and my family.
Over the years, I’ve found that the little things can make a surprisingly big difference. Not because they solve every parenting challenge (if only!), but because sometimes removing one tiny frustration from your day feels like a win.
So today I’m sharing 10 things I bought on Amazon that actually made mom life easier.
These aren’t things I bought because they were trendy. They’re things I bought because I was tired, overwhelmed, or trying to solve a very specific “mom problem.”

[1. Febreze Trash Odor Fighter]

I bought this because I don’t always remember to take the trash out every night, no matter how hard I try.
Before this, we were constantly dealing with stinky kitchen trash. It seems like such a small thing, but having this one less struggle during the day has been a game changer.
What I love about it:
- Actually smell nice!
- Super easy to install – literally peel and stick.
- Really affordable – $11.99 for 2 holders and 2 refills.
Mom rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
[2. Disposable Snack Bowls]

This was one of those purchases where I thought, “Why didn’t I buy this sooner?”
I use these for snacks, crafts, sensory play and the possibilities are quite literally endless.
The best part is the price and the easy clean-up factor. Paint project leftovers? Toss. Snack crumbs? Bye!
[3. Ultima Lemonade Hydration Drink Mix]

Parenting young kids means there are a lot of moments where you’re just trying to keep up.
This drink mix is soooo delish. It’s light and refreshing and mixes well with other drink packets to make fun flavors. My go-to is mixing this with a sugar-free peach drink mix.
It’s one of those simple purchases that makes me wonder how I managed without it.
[4. Lasko Oscillating Tower Fan]

I originally bought this because this summer has just been so brutally hot.
What surprised me was how useful it is outside! When we’re out on the back patio, this baby comes with me.
Sometimes the best purchases aren’t the exciting ones. They’re the ones that quietly make your day more comfortable.
[5. Digital Wall Calendar]

This has become part of our normal routine for keeping track of absolutely everything – school activities, appointments, a grocery list, a reward program for the kids. Literally. Everything.
A few reasons I love it:
- The calendar allows for multiple profiles, which are then color coded on the calendar so it really does provide a “day at a glance” visual.
- There is a built in star reward tracking system that allows parents to award stars as they see fit and allows children to cash them in for rewards that are available in the calendar.
- You can grant read and/or write access to other family members – your partner, other adult caregivers, etc. This really helps keep the whole family on the same page.
[6. Pet Vacuum and Dryer]

If you have pets, you know that anything that saves time, reduces mess, or prevents a meltdown deserves some recognition.
This one helps because it dries your pet’s coat while you brush them! It also mitigates the mess by vacuuming it all up. Effective AND efficient.
[7. 4 Compartment Snack Container]

This is one of those items that feels very “boring adult purchase,” but honestly? Those are sometimes the best ones.
It helps make snack time more manageable, and I appreciate anything that makes our home run a little more smoothly. I sometimes find the “shackle boxes” to be too large with too many compartments. These have 4 spots to fill that are each a good size. My 8-year old loves a “snack tray” using these containers.
[8. Car Trunk Organizer]

I bought this to help organize the chaos that lives in my trunk and it quickly became something we use all the time.
My favorite thing about it is the amount of pockets and compartments that it has. It doesn’t take up my entire trunk but keeps things like extra diapers, paper towels, and my roadside assistance kit handy.
[9. Heavy Duty Wheeled Laundry Hamper]

This has been especially helpful during this season of life because there’s just so-much-laundry!
With two kids, a spouse, and pets, I’ve learned that convenience isn’t about being lazy. Sometimes convenience gives you more time and energy for the things that actually matter.
[10. Eufy x10 Pro Omni Roobot Vacuum and Mop Combo]

Saving the last one for something I truly love.
Ours is named Rosie, like the housekeeper robot from the Jetsons. It literally does everything – vacuums, mops, empties itself, cleans its mop pads, and charges when necessary. It maps your house so you can set routines or have it clean specific rooms. She’s literally a member of our family.
Final Thoughts
I think motherhood is full of tiny problems that don’t seem like a big deal individually, but when you add them all together, they can feel overwhelming.
For me, finding little ways to simplify our days has made a difference. Not because I’m trying to create a perfect home or become the mom who has everything figured out.
I’m just trying to make our everyday life work a little better.
And if something helps another mom have a smoother morning, a calmer bedtime, or five extra minutes to drink her coffee while it’s still hot?
I’d call that a win.
What’s something you bought that made your life as a mom noticeably easier? I’m always looking for ideas!
